Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use Dalni, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or their voice. This page explains what we have done, what we know is missing, and how to tell us about a problem.
1. Our goal
We are working for Dalni to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2), in Arabic and English.
2. What we have done
Pages are written right to left in Arabic and left to right in English, and each page declares its language for screen readers.
You can move around with the keyboard, and every page starts with a "Skip to content" link. Every button and icon has a name that screen readers read.
Everything you can tap is at least 48 pixels in size.
Pages follow your device's settings for reduced motion, reduced transparency and increased contrast. You can choose a light or dark theme and enlarge text in your browser.
You can ask by voice or by typing, and the Listen button reads the answer aloud if your device supports it, with a slower option.
The sign-in code accepts pasting and Arabic digits, and the bot-protection check runs in the background and never asks you to solve a puzzle.
Answers are plain text with numbered steps and a link to the official page.
3. What we know is missing
We have not yet tested Dalni in Arabic on real phones with their built-in screen readers [date — to be set].
Voice input depends on your browser; if it is not supported we tell you, and you can always type.
Asking, by voice or by typing, needs you to be signed in. Dalni listens until you tap Stop, and stops by itself after one minute; it then shows your words and sends nothing until you tap Send, and you can tap the words to edit them first.
The PDF purchase receipt is in English only for now; the Arabic receipt text comes in the email.
The official pages we link to are run by their own bodies, and we do not control their accessibility.
4. How we assessed this
This is a self-assessment by our team; no independent body has reviewed it yet [independent review — to be decided].
5. Tell us about a problem
If any part of Dalni is hard to use, write to info@oai.sa with the page, what happened, and your device and browser if you can. We reply within [5] working days and help you reach the information another way until we fix the problem.
