A formal complaint letter names who you are complaining about, then what happened with the date, place and amount, then exactly what you ask for, with evidence such as the invoice, photos and messages. Most bodies take complaints online: the Ministry of Commerce's Balagh Tejari asks for a description, the product name and documents; Nazaha asks for specific, traceable facts.
Steps
- Pick the right body before you write: a store or shop goes to the Ministry of Commerce (1900), a hotel or tourism business to the Ministry of Tourism (930), and suspected corruption in a public body to Nazaha (980). Dalni has a guide for each.
- Open with one sentence that sums up the complaint: who you are complaining about and what the problem is.
- Write the facts in time order: the date, place and amount, and the order or invoice number if there is one. Nazaha, for example, requires a report that is clear and includes specific facts that can be examined and traced.
- Say what you did before complaining, such as contacting the business, and when.
- State clearly what you want: a refund, a replacement, a repair, or for the violation to stop.
- A short sample: I bought a device from an online store on 3 October 2026 and paid for it. It has not arrived, and I contacted the store twice with no reply. I ask for a refund; the invoice and screenshots of the chat are attached.
- Attach evidence: the invoice or receipt, photos and screenshots of messages. In Balagh Tejari you choose the violation type, fill in the business's details, the report description and the product name, and attach documents according to the report type.
- Write calmly and briefly, without insults or accusations you cannot prove, and keep each complaint to one problem.
- Type your ID and account details only on the body's official website when you file, not in a complaint text you share and not in Dalni.
- Keep the complaint number: the Ministry of Tourism, for example, sends it by text message and lets you reopen the complaint within 3 days of the closure notice.
- If the body asks for more details, reply in time: under the Ministry of Tourism's Complaints Guide, a text message asks you to complete the details within a set period so the complaint is not closed.
Have ready:
- The name of the party you are complaining about and its address or store link
- The date, place and amount
- The invoice, receipt or order number
- Photos and screenshots of messages
- Exactly what you are asking for
