Cookie Policy

1. What the website stores

Two items are display preferences. oai_lang records whether you chose Arabic or English; oai_theme records whether you chose the light or dark display. Both live in your browser's local storage, are used for nothing beyond showing the site the way you set it, and persist until you clear them.

A third preference, oai_billing, is set only if you switch between monthly and annual prices on the Rushd page. It remembers that choice in local storage, is used for nothing else, and persists until you clear it.

Two items belong to Blue, the guide on the home page. oai_blue lives in your browser's session storage for the current tab only: it remembers whether you used or closed Blue, where you moved it, the look you kept for it, which of its looks you have seen and which of the five activities in Play with Blue you tried, so a reload in the same tab carries on from there. It holds no personal information and is deleted when you close the tab. oai.blue.best is set only after you finish one of Blue's games: it keeps your best results (a time and a score) in local storage, and when it is there Blue greets you with "Welcome back". It is used for nothing else and persists until you clear it.

One item is for O AI's own team: oai_internal. It is stored only when an oai.sa address is opened with ?oai_internal=1 added — a link our staff use on their own browsers — and removed by ?oai_internal=0. It holds only the value 1 and is sent nowhere by itself; if analytics are allowed, visits from that browser are labelled as internal so they can be left out of our figures. It persists until you clear it.

Two rate-limit records live in local storage and are created only when you send something: oai.contact.submits for the contact form, Blue's Help card and the Rushd demo request, and oai.callback.submits for the call-back field under the home-page headline. Each holds only the times of your recent submissions, not what you sent, and a submission stops counting one hour after it was sent. Their only job is to stop the forms being flooded with repeated submissions.

One item exists only after a Rushd payment: oai_rushd_payment. The payment confirmation page keeps that payment's reference and status in your browser's session storage for the current tab, so it can show them after its address is cleaned and so a sign-up is not counted twice. It is sent nowhere by itself and is deleted when you close the tab.

Two items belong to the newsletter's link pages. oai_newsletter_confirm and oai_newsletter_unsubscribe live in your browser's session storage for the current tab only. When you open the confirmation or unsubscribe link from one of our emails, the page moves the link's code from the address bar into these items, with the result of your last press and the language of your subscription, so a reload carries on. They hold no email address, are sent nowhere by themselves, and are deleted when you close the tab.

Two more belong to the newsletter card in the home page footer, and each holds only the value 1. oai.newsletter.folded is set in session storage when you fold the card, so it stays folded in this tab; it is removed when you open the card again, and deleted when you close the tab. oai.newsletter.joined is set in local storage when a sign-up from the card is accepted, so the card starts folded on later visits; it persists until you clear it. Neither is sent anywhere.

One more, oai_consent, records your answer to the analytics banner — allow or decline — so we do not ask again.

2. Analytics, only with your consent

If you allow analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<id> that give your browser a random identifier for up to two years, and it reports which pages you open, roughly where you are (from a truncated IP address), your device and browser, and the site that referred you. We use this only to see which pages are useful.

With analytics allowed, the home page also keeps oai_journey_depth in your browser's session storage: a single number marking which parts of the page have already been counted during this visit, so each is counted once. It is cleared when you close the tab.

Nothing loads and no such cookie is set before you choose "Accept all" or allow the Statistics category under "Manage cookies"; choosing "Reject all" keeps the site exactly as it is. Google processes this data on its own servers, which may be outside the Kingdom; the Privacy Policy describes that transfer.

Dalni's public pages at oai.sa/dalni are part of this website and share this answer: if you allow analytics, they load the same Google Analytics 4 property, and also report when you go on to Dalni's chat (never what you typed). Dalni's chat, sign-in and credits at dalni.oai.sa never load Google Analytics. Whatever you answer, Dalni's pages, here and in the app, also keep Dalni's own usage counts on Dalni's servers; those, and the items Dalni keeps in your browser, are described in Dalni's own Privacy Policy at oai.sa/dalni/en/privacy.

3. What the website does not use

There are no advertising cookies, no social-media pixels, and no cross-site tracking on oai.sa, and we do not build profiles of visitors. Analytics runs only after your consent, as described above.

The Rushd platform is separate from this website: it uses only the essential session and authentication storage needed to keep users signed in, as described in the Rushd Cookie Policy.

The payment step of the Rushd sign-up shows our payment processor's hosted payment form inside the page. That form is run by the processor, which may store its own items in your browser under its own terms; this website does not set or control them.

4. Managing what is stored

To change or withdraw your consent, use the Cookie settings button at the top of this page: it reopens the consent dialog with your current choices. You can also delete these items at any time through your browser's settings for cookies and site data; the site keeps working, your language, theme and pricing choices return to their defaults, and the banner appears again so you can decide afresh.

5. If this ever changes

Should we introduce other cookies or similar technologies in the future, we will update this policy before they go live and obtain consent where the law requires it.
