Medical insurance check: how do I know my insurance is valid?

Prepared from the official page

You can check it for free and instantly with the “Health Insurance Information Inquiry” service on the Insurance Authority website. It shows your health insurance status, whether it is valid, and the insurance company that issued the policy.

Steps

  1. Open the service page on the Insurance Authority website and press “Get Started”.
  2. The Authority's site asks for the national ID or iqama number that was used when the policy was issued.
  3. Enter the verification code shown in the image, agree to the terms, then press “Search”.
  4. The result shows at once: your insurance status, whether it is valid, and the company that issued the policy.
  5. Make sure you typed the number and the verification code correctly; the service requires both.
  6. The Council of Health Insurance also offers an “Insurance Information Inquiry” service. For help: Insurance Authority 8001240551, Council of Health Insurance 19977.
