Nazaha number 980: how to report corruption to the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority

Prepared from the official page

The Nazaha number is 980, the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority's toll-free line for reports. You can file a Nazaha report free in the «تقديم بلاغ جديد» (Submit a New Report) service on its portal and may hide your identity. The report must concern a bribery offence or a public body; specific facts that can be examined and traced are enough.

Steps

  1. To report online: open Nazaha's website nazaha.gov.sa, choose the «تقديم بلاغ جديد» (Submit a New Report) service, then «بدء الخدمة» (Start Service).
  2. Enter your details and contact methods.
  3. Select the parties you are reporting from the list.
  4. Write the report details clearly, with specific facts that can be examined and traced, such as what happened, when and where.
  5. Attach any evidence you have. You do not need to be certain that corruption happened; facts that can be examined and traced are enough.
  6. Choose whether to disclose your identity or keep it hidden, then submit. The service is free and available in Arabic and English.
  7. Other channels, according to the Authority's FAQ: the toll-free number 980, in person at one of the Authority's branches, ordinary mail, or telegram.
  8. The Authority's headquarters is on Al Olaya Street, Al Ghadir district, Riyadh 13311; working hours are Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  9. To follow up on an earlier report: call 19991 during official working hours, according to the Authority's FAQ.
  10. Reporter confidentiality: the Authority keeps reporters' information confidential, and no reporter is harmed because of a report.
  11. Nazaha's jurisdiction: public bodies, and companies in which the state owns at least 25% of the capital. The Authority also receives reports about shortfalls in services or work procedures, such as a stalled transaction at a government body.
  12. If your complaint is about a shop or private company with no suspected bribery, it is outside Nazaha's jurisdiction: for shops and stores see Dalni's commercial report (Balagh Tejari) guide; the Ministry of Commerce unified number is 1900.

Have ready:

  • The name of the body or parties you are reporting
  • The date and place of what happened
  • A short, clear description of the facts
  • Any document, photo or message that supports the report, if you have one
  • Your details and a way to contact you, typed only on Nazaha's website
