Renewing a rental contract: how do I renew on Ejar?

Residential and commercial leases longer than 3 months that were signed after the new rules came in renew automatically, unless one side tells the other at least 60 days before the end that it does not want to renew. If your contract has ended or is about to end without renewal, renew it with Ejar's contract re-conclusion service.

Steps

1. Sign in to your Ejar account. The landlord, the tenant or the real estate broker can ask to renew.
2. Choose the contract from the list of contracts ready for renewal, and review its details.
3. Send the contract to the other party to accept the renewal and document it.
4. The other party signs in to Ejar, accepts the renewal, then enters the code sent to the mobile number registered in Absher.
5. The renewal fee is the contract fee, paid from the Ejar wallet. For automatic renewal the landlord pays it; if he does not, the contract still renews and the fee is recorded as a debt on him.
6. If you do not want to renew, tell the other party at least 60 days before the contract ends.
7. In Riyadh, the landlord cannot ask not to renew when the tenant wants to renew, except in set cases: the tenant failing to pay, structural problems in the property, or the landlord wanting it for himself or a first-degree relative.
