Kollona Amn is a Ministry of Interior app for reporting online financial fraud and scams free of charge, through the Cyber Crime Reports service. Sign in, choose the cybercrime category and then the subcategory, add a description and attachments, and submit. The service takes 10 working days. If money left your account, call your bank first.
Steps
- If money left your account or you gave someone your card details: call your bank immediately, before anything else; Dalni has the steps on the page "Money left my account and I did not do it. What should I do?".
- Download the Kollona Amn (كلنا أمن) app from your phone's app store. The Cyber Crime Reports service is offered in the iOS and Android apps; it is free and in Arabic and English.
- Sign in to the app. Type your details only inside the official app, and never send them to a number or link that claims to help you with the report.
- Choose the cybercrime category (الجرائم المعلوماتية), then the subcategory that fits what happened. The service covers online financial fraud, online blackmail, hacking and account theft, identity impersonation, and defamation or abuse on social media.
- Add a clear description of what happened: when and how, and through which platform, number or link; then attach the evidence and submit the report.
- The service takes 10 working days, according to its page on the National Platform.
- Kollona Amn number: the service page lists no number for the app itself. For questions about the service it lists the Ministry of Interior phone 966114011111, 8 am to 3 pm, and the email info@moi.gov.sa.
- Never give anyone your PIN or verification code. The Saudi Central Bank warns that fraudsters pose as an official or trusted party to get your login details and verification code.
- If it was blackmail or a threat, see Dalni's page "Can I report online blackmail?". If your bank did not solve the problem, see "How do I complain about my bank to SAMA?".
Have ready:
- The Kollona Amn app on your phone
- A description of what happened, its date and time, and the platform or number the fraudster used
- Screenshots of the chats, messages and links
- Transfer receipts or bank messages about the transaction, if any
- Your report number with the bank, if you reported it
