Ministry of Tourism 930: complain about a hotel or tourism business

Prepared from the official page

The Ministry of Tourism number is 930, the Tourism Contact Center, which takes visitors' and tourists' complaints 24/7, including complaints about a hotel, another tourism hospitality facility or any tourism business. You can also use the Ministry's WhatsApp 0114907617 or live chat. You get a complaint number by text message, and resolution takes 2 to 6 business days.

Steps

  1. Hotels, serviced apartments, hotel apartments, resorts and holiday homes (chalets) are categories of tourism hospitality facility, and they may not operate to receive tourists before getting a licence from the Ministry of Tourism, according to the Ministry's FAQ.
  2. Call 930, the Ministry of Tourism's Tourism Contact Center, 24/7. The Complaints Guide gives a resolution time of 2 to 6 business days.
  3. Or message the Ministry of Tourism on WhatsApp at 0114907617, 24/7.
  4. Or use the Unified Digital Center for Beneficiary Services, live chat, the Ministry's account on X, or email. Replies on X and by email take 1 to 3 business days.
  5. The Ministry's official phone number 01188808855 is also listed as a way to receive complaints, in the Ministry's FAQ on tourism activities inspection.
  6. In the complaint, give the business's name and city, the date of your stay or service, what happened and what you want, and attach the booking, invoice and photos.
  7. You get the complaint number by text message. The Ministry may contact you to complete the complaint; if you do not respond, a text message asks you to complete the details within a set period so the complaint is not closed.
  8. The Ministry notifies the business of the complaint and its attachments, and the business must reply within 24 hours of notification. The Ministry may set another period depending on the case, from at least one hour to at most 5 days from notification.
  9. If the business does not respond, the Ministry assigns a tourism inspector to take up the complaint and inspect, by a field visit or remotely.
  10. You are told the outcome and the closure of the complaint by text message. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Ministry's channels and reopen the complaint within 3 days of the closure notice.
  11. Escalation cases in the Complaints Guide: the set processing time is exceeded, you receive a message closing the complaint without it being handled, or you cannot file through the contact channels.
  12. If your problem is with the airline rather than the hotel, see Dalni's guide on complaining about an airline.

Have ready:

  • The business's or hotel's name and city
  • The booking confirmation or number
  • The invoice or payment receipt
  • Photos or a video of the problem
  • The date of your stay or service
  • Your mobile number, typed only in the Ministry's channel when you file, so you receive the text messages
