My bag was lost, delayed or damaged. What do I do?

Prepared from the official page

Report it at the airport baggage desk right away. The airline must compensate you if your bag is lost, late or damaged.

Steps

  1. Before you leave the airport, go to the baggage services desk.
  2. Report the problem and get the report reference number.
  3. Ask the airline for compensation and get the complaint number.
  4. If your bag does not arrive within 21 days, ask for it to be treated as lost.
  5. If the airline does not solve it within 7 days, escalate it to GACA on its website.

Have ready:

  • The baggage report reference number
  • Booking number and ticket number
  • Flight number, date and route
  • Your complaint number with the airline and its date
