My flight was delayed. Do I get compensation?

Prepared from the official page

If your flight arrives 3 hours late or more, you get money as compensation. This does not apply in force majeure cases.

Steps

  1. Ask the airline for care: drinks from the first hour, a meal after 3 hours, and a hotel and transport after 6 hours.
  2. If take-off is more than 2 hours late, you can cancel the booking and get the full ticket price back.
  3. Contact the airline: by phone, at its office, or in its app or website.
  4. Ask for compensation and get the complaint number.
  5. If the airline does not solve it within 7 days, escalate it to GACA on its website.

Have ready:

  • Booking number and ticket number
  • Flight number, date and route
  • The time the problem happened
  • Your complaint number with the airline and its date
