Educational platform and school system development in Saudi Arabia

O AI, a Saudi software company in Al Khobar, builds learning platforms, school management systems and school apps on the web, iPhone and Android, designed in Arabic first. We take projects from schools, training centres, kindergartens and Quran memorisation circles, and the cost depends on the scope you choose.

In short

What an educational platform or school system does

An educational platform is a website and app where students take courses, live or recorded lessons, assignments and tests, and teachers or trainers follow their progress. A learning management system (LMS) is the engine behind it. A school management system covers the administration around teaching: admissions, attendance, timetables, grades, fees and messages to parents.

Many organisations need parts of both. A private school wants its administration and a parent app; a training centre wants paid courses, groups and certificates; a Quran circle wants memorisation and revision tracked student by student. You can start with one part and add the rest later.

What we build

What we build for schools and training centres

Each project picks the pieces it needs. These are the ones we build most often:

Learning platform and e-learning (LMS)

Courses by level, free or paid, recorded and live lessons, assignments, question banks, tests and certificates.

School management system

Admissions, attendance and absence, timetables, grades and report cards, fees and notices to parents.

School app for parents and students

An iPhone and Android app with the timetable, grades, absences, assignments and messages from the school.

Quran circles system

Circles, teachers and supervisors, memorisation and revision by surah and juz, recitation sessions and progress reports.

Training centres and institutes

Registration, groups, trainers, attendance, payments and certificates. The same structure suits a kindergarten's administration.

An Arabic assistant for students and parents

A chatbot that answers common questions from the platform's own content, in Arabic.

Integrations to plan early

These are planning items, settled in the scope phase and confirmed with each operator. None is a link O AI already holds.

Noor (Educational Information System)

The Ministry of Education's platform for student and school records. Schools keep their official records there; a school's own system can hold its daily work. Any data exchange is limited to what the Ministry allows, so we plan exports and imports only in the formats it permits.

Official site: noor.moe.gov.sa

Madrasati

The Ministry of Education's e-learning management system for general education schools, also available to private schools. A school that teaches on Madrasati may still need its own system for administration, fees or a parent app.

ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora)

A platform that sells courses issues invoices to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority's e-invoicing rules; we plan those invoices from the start.

Payment gateways, live video (Zoom or Microsoft Teams), single sign-on and SMS or WhatsApp notices to parents are planned in the same phase. Ministry facts from noor.moe.gov.sa and moe.gov.sa, as of October 2026.

Modules of an educational platform

A typical platform has one screen set per role. This table shows who each part is for and what it does.

What drives the cost of an educational platform

Two platforms with the same name can differ several times over in scope. These are the factors we price, so you can decide what the first version needs:

User types and roles

Students only, or students, teachers, parents, supervisors and management, each with its own screens.

Video

Recorded lessons hosted on the platform, live lessons through Zoom or Microsoft Teams, or both.

Tests and certificates

A simple quiz, or a question bank with timed tests, marking rules and certificates with a check code.

Payments and invoices

Free courses only, or paid courses, instalments, discount codes and e-invoices.

Apps

A web platform alone, or iPhone and Android apps with notifications as well.

Content and data migration

Courses, students and records moved from another platform or from spreadsheets.

In practice

Arabic-first design and student data

A Saudi school or centre should not have to work around an interface translated from English, or wonder who can see its students' records.

Right to left from the start

Screens, reports and certificates designed in Arabic, with English alongside where you need it.

Access by role

A parent sees only their own children, a teacher only their classes, and management the whole school.

Hosting inside the Kingdom

We can host the platform inside the Kingdom when the project needs it, on Saudi-based cloud infrastructure.

Ready-made or custom

Ready-made (such as Moodle) or a custom platform?

Moodle and other ready-made platforms are a sound choice for standard courses, and we say so when they fit. A custom platform pays off when your teaching or administration does not fit their shape.

How we work

How we build your platform, step by step

We follow the same five steps as every software project, with your teachers testing from the first version.

  1. Free consultation

We learn who will use the platform, what they teach and how the school or centre runs today.

  2. Scope and written quote

We agree the roles, modules, integrations and phases in writing, and quote that scope.

  3. Design and build in phases

A first version comes first, often courses and the student dashboard; your teachers test each phase.

  4. Launch and handover

We publish the apps, train your staff and hand over the documentation.

  5. Support

We fix issues and add features, such as a new term's needs, under a support plan agreed with you.

The cost of creating an educational platform depends on the scope: user types, modules, live or recorded video, payments, apps, integrations, content migration and hosting. We quote it in writing after a free consultation.

Our own products

What we have built ourselves

Rushd by O AI is law-firm software our in-house team built and runs: one account on the web, iPhone and Android, in Arabic and English.

It already handles what most sector systems need: role-based permissions, an audit log of who did what (on the Premium plan), documents, tasks and notifications, and AI drafting in Arabic and English.

The same parts carry a school system: one account across web and mobile, access by role for students, teachers and parents, app notifications and an Arabic-first interface.

We have not yet delivered an education project for a client. We take projects from schools, training centres and Quran memorisation circles across the Kingdom.

Questions

Common questions

How much does it cost to create an educational platform?

It depends on the scope: the user types, the modules, live or recorded video, payments, apps, integrations, content migration and hosting. We send a written quote after a free consultation.

How long does it take to build a platform or a school system?

It depends on the scope. We start with a first version your teachers can use, then add modules in phases, so you are not waiting for everything at once.

Should we use Moodle or a ready-made platform, or build our own?

If your courses are standard and your team can run the platform, a ready-made one can be enough. Build your own when Arabic-first design, school-specific rules, your own apps or owning the data matter to you.

Does the platform work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. We build the platform on the web and as iPhone and Android apps, on one account and one database.

Can the school system connect to Noor or Madrasati?

We make no integration claim. Data exchange with Noor and Madrasati is limited to what the Ministry of Education allows, so we plan exports and imports only in the formats it permits, confirmed for your school.

Can we sell courses and take payments on the platform?

Yes. We add a payment gateway, paid and free courses and e-invoices for the courses you sell.

Does it suit Quran memorisation circles and training centres?

Yes. A Quran circles system tracks memorisation and revision by student, and a training-centre system handles groups, trainers, attendance and certificates.

I'm looking for the Noor school system login. Is this page for that?

No. Noor is the Ministry of Education's platform, and you sign in from its official site, noor.moe.gov.sa. This page is about building systems and platforms for schools and training centres, alongside the Ministry's platforms, not instead of them.

Have you delivered education projects before?

Not yet. We have built Rushd, a live system on web, iPhone and Android, and we take projects from schools, training centres and Quran circles.

Who owns the source code and the data?

Ownership of the source code and of the hosting accounts is agreed in the contract before the build starts. We put it in writing so both sides know what is handed over at the end. Your data is yours.
